Abstract

In this proposal we present the use of graph theory with the study of literary works. Specifically, we want to show the use of the graphs as a tool for representing the relationships between characters in a dramatic work and expose its didactic potential for the literary education of the last year’s Secondary Education students. As a classroom experience, we work on La casa de Bernarda Alba by Federico García Lorca, using the graphs created in the Drama Corpora Project (DraCor) platform and its API, Shiny DraCor. A survey is also carried out in a Catalan public high school, among students and different teachers, in order to know their perception of the didactic innovation proposed. The didactic proposal serves to reflect on the possible uses of graphs for the analysis of literary works in the secondary school classroom.
