Continuing Vico's Legacy: the discovery of the true Aristotle

Abstract

This article draws on G. B. Vico’s theses about the discovery of the true Homer to shed light on the processes of literary creation in the ancient world, particularly with regard to one of the great corpora of our culture: the Corpus Aristotelicum. Consequently, this Corpus appears with an aspect very different from that which has usually been considered.
