Vico y el descubrimiento del conocimiento histórico [pp. 93-108]

Abstract

For two reasons the Author proposes an interpretation of Vico’s philosophy: 1) One reason is to highlight the historiographical work of the critical editions of the three New Science (1725, 1733, 1744). 2) The other reason is the Vichian idea of philology as a science: an ethical science of understanding and not only an ecdotic instrument; science of reasoning what Vico does in his texts, in order to understand them and thus try to understand the meaning that those texts had in his own time. In addition, also try to understand the role it can have in contemporary philosophy.
