University of Seville Editorial ensures that all scientific works published are original and unpublished, and that they have not been previously published in any format (in whole or in part), nor are they involved in any simultaneous evaluation or decision-making process by multiple journals or other types of publications.
The measures taken by the journals to enforce their anti-plagiarism policies are:
- Require an authorship statement to accompany article submissions by the authors (authorship statement, best practices, and rights transfer):
- Run articles through the anti-plagiarism program Turnitin and send authors reports with similarity percentages above 20%. (https://bib.us.es/estudia_e_investiga/antiplagio).
- Pre-reject or reject texts that may violate the journal's guidelines.
- A template form for reviewer certification.
