Resumen

Este artículo analiza la evolución estratégica de la relación entre Estados Unidos e Israel, centrándose en los mecanismos estructurales que han sostenido el papel de Israel como proxi privilegiado en Oriente Medio. Se sostiene que la garantía constante de su ventaja militar cualitativa (QME) ha permitido a Israel actuar con una autonomía creciente, en ocasiones en tensión con los intereses regionales de EE. UU. A través de un enfoque histórico y geopolítico, se examina cómo los cambios en el sistema internacional, las presiones políticas internas en EE. UU. y la guerra de Gaza de 2023 han inaugurado una nueva fase de asimetría y renegociación.
