This paper deals with the development of disease´s conception in John Locke´s thought, studying two works: Morbus (1666) y Methodus Medendi (1678). That evolution lets us examine some resemblances and differences among the empirist´s thought and the ideas of Galen, Paracelsus, Willis, Descartes and Boyle. Although Locke was an eclectic, who managed to join different traditions on the specific subject of diseases, nevertheless, the prominence of his iatrochemical conception was gradually growing. We also offer a translation into Spanish about the short text Methodus Medendi.
ER -
