The Phaedrus is a platonic dialog between two souls to be recognized as friends. But the aim of Phaedrus is not exactly to show the friendship, but to conceal it or, rather, dramatized it by the staging of a socratic thiasos. Many scholars have not found necessary to pay attention to this seemingly insignificant detail. In this article, however, we want to defend that the platonic intention goes far beyond. Plato offers a staging thiasos to re-locate erotic action of Socrates in the memory of their fellow citizens. He wants to show the understanding and the practice of the Socratic selfknowledge in the upset educational world of the Athens of the 5th century b.C, as well as his strong opposition to the rhetoric of polis.}, number={44}, journal={THÉMATA.
