Abstract

Free Software is a kind of invention born inside a concrete context. Not every innovation becomes succesful. So it is possible to examine such context to evaluate a future viability for Free Software. Free software is studied as a new ethical and social paradigm towards freedom. There is an exam about how free software is compliant with the ethical tradition from engineering institutions and deontological proposals. Finally there is a proposal of a “convivial software” that would take into account final users.
