Abstract

In affirming their gender identity, subjects share politically with others (who claim conditions of survival, work, citizenship, education or equality) interpersonal dependence, discrimination and exposure to violence. They also often share the absence of legal mechanisms for recognition and protection. Therefore, it is pertinent to reflect on an alternative to the traditional notion of sovereign subject that can configure a possibility of political-social transformation in view of equity.
