Instructions for registering


The sending of originals for publication in Philologia Hispalensis is managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) system. To submit your proposal, you must first register as an author in the system by following the steps outlined below.


  1. Access the registration form through the following link:
  2. Only the fields marked with an asterisk need to be completed, although you may fill in the rest if you wish.
  3. You must first enter a username of your choice (only alphanumeric characters, without capitals or spaces) and choose a password.
  1. In the "validation" field, you will be asked to enter the characters that appear in an image to verify that the record is being processed by a human and not by a computer.
  1. Then enter your first name and surname in the corresponding fields.
  1. It is essential to provide an email address that will not be shared outside of the internal scope of management of the journal under any circumstances. You may receive emails from the Philologia Hispalensis account ( as well as also automatic emails generated by OJS. Check that these are sent to your inbox and not in the spam folder to avoid possible communication problems.
  1. At the end of the form, you must check the “Author” box. This is the only way to attach your communication proposal once registered. Optionally, you can register as a “Reader” at the same time.
  1. Finally, you will receive an email at the email address provided which will ask you to validate your account. To do this, just click on the link in the email.
