Abstract

Cartography expands unlimitedly in diasporas. We are no longer talking about third spaces (Bhabha, 1994) populated by fateful immigrants who abandon themselves to the best luck - the worst luck - that they encounter along the way. We speak of bodies populated by third spaces that exercise deterritorialization and re-territorialization in their exile. In her book Díáspora (1976, 2001), as well as in all her writing, Cristina Peri Rossi lives her exile with her eyes on the south. Always observing the south of his word, entering into the "painful astonishment of the trip and its odyssey."
